After my trip to Perth this year, and all the mementos I came home with, it kinda inspired me to go to a few other rally's, and experience a different atmosphere. For my Perth trip I went on a tour-so it was pretty easy to get there and back from stages because we had buses. It was fairly affordable as well-(one of reasons why I went as I'm not that cashed up ;D). A few of the people on the tour I was in had been overseas and seen other rally's and were quite amazed at the level of crowd control and security that the OZ rally has-they expected to get much closer to the action and were pretty disheartened when they couldn't. Just the talk amongst everyone there about the rally's they had been to got me gee'd up to get on a plane and go. So, I have started my "rally savings" and hope to get over to New Zealand this year-it's always been a favourite of mine and it's not that longer trip either and fairly affordable too. Down the track I would love (frothing at the mouth) to go to Sweden and Finland-how mad would that be? But I have done some sums and we are talking decent $'s. It's not really a do-able thing this year-that's for sure. The other thing about it too, is that 'cause it costs so much I would be going myself-so travelling that far alone...dont know! So, anyway-where would you guys like to go? Where do you dream about visiting? What's your favourite rally? -LITA

A realistic dream for me would obviously be to go to Perth. I intend to go after study and as soon as I hold a decent job.
However, if I had unlimited money and time, I'd also go to Monte Carlo, Corsica and Finland.

Well I' like to go see the whole season! But I reckon:
Monte Carlo, Sweden, Greece, GB, Japan, Argentina, Finland, NZ, Australia (not in order).
Maybe the Safari and I'd like to see the Rally of Canberra as well as visit Targa Tasmania again on the wild west coast of tassie as dad has a job down there so we use the house. d**n cold though but not as cold as sweden! Does anyone follow Targa here. Becuase if you did you would have heard of a guy called Tony Quinn who always is on the podium in his 911. Where we were spectating he crashed! Unfortunatley missed the shot! But got an aftermath shot.

I have heard good things about targa-it would be good to go and experience that. Shame you missed the pic of that eh Mitch? A friend of mine went to the canberra rally and he loved it, reckons he had a ball. If you had heaps of cash you could get around to all of them and just travel all the time, but at this stage I think NZ is the only affordable option for me! Maybe Finland or Sweden in 2007/2008, but my rally buddy doesn't want to travel that far-and he has just bought a house so it isn't really possible in the near future. Ahh well. I can dream. Really wanna go though

I will try and go through my complx Rally folder and try and find Quinn. It contains Targa, Tasmanian, ARC and WRC. Then it is sorted by year, then team, then driver number, and the file name looks like this

Yeah-I think it's official-Sweden and Finland are among the best eh? I can't choose between the two really, it would be coin toss time! Maybe one day...................

I think for me it would have to be either Finland or Corsica.
Finland offers the ultimate thrill of rallying - it is the fastest, the most spectacular, and I hear that the Finns know how to party!!!!
Corsica because of the stunning locations (in the Mediterranean) and the cars in their most aggressive tarmac spec.
While Sweden would be amazing, I have no illusions that I could last in the cold weather - no matter how much vodka I drink!

Corsica eh; couple of weeks in France and Spain? I could handle that; that rally just bumped a few places up my list
