This is a longshot because I think he mostly drove Audi's, but is it Hannu Mikkola?  I remember seeing a bit of a doco on him (and other Audi drivers) recently, but i think he had a few wins in an escort too-correct me if I am wrong! Actually I believe I am wrong here, because I can't associate him with Misubishi at all-certainly not with an Evo6! Sorry-I don't know this one guys! |

Bit early that one. his is a young finnish driver w/ only a few yrs experience his first event was in the Lancer.

I originnally said in the second clue.
First drive was in a EVO 6
Vatenen & Mikkola did not drive the EVO 6 as their first rally car. lol
