Woohoo-it was only a matter of time! Good to see. I was reading an article in a local oz motor mag not long ago that talked about SA rallying and followed the VW results there. It mainly focused on that make, (it may have been a bit biased) but how do they fare over there? From what I'm hearing they are quite solid performers-would the Toyotas be the most popular and versatile though? I'm going to check out that website you listed too. -LITA

I can't recall exactly, but he may have. It wouldn't surprise me.

To be honest the pace of the VW's caught a lot of people off guard as the Toyota Runx's have been VERY dominant over the last couple of years. Nice to see someone different win too. It was a tight championship that was decided on the last round.

Sounds like a good championship- even as a Subaru faithful a title before the last round and the 3rd in a row for crocker and 10th in a row for the blue team is a tad broing....the Toyotas are catching up tho

Here here, go Toyota. I am also a Subi fan, but Crocker-again??? Getting boring-it would also help if he had a bit more personality (but that's just my opinion) I think it seem's to be lacking a bit. -LITA

Am I imagining things or did Evans used to drive a VW here in Aus? Yes he did. A VW Golf to be exact. He won the 2WD championship in 1999 I think.

He got the drive through his own dealership if I remember correctly, anyone know if he still sells cars?
