WOW. What a game.
REVIEW:
In all my life I was hoping for something like this to happen. It is seriously an amazing game.
Cars:
The cars are pretty well designed with no flaws. The sound is like usual (not as good) but the damage is decent.
There is also the introduction of INDIVIDUALS. These are cars that were privateers this year. You can get OMV, Warmbold, Sola, Team Olsbergs, Bozian and Red Bull.
Drivers:
We're kind of missing a few. No Carlos Sainz, Alex Bengue, Daniel Carlsson, Nicolas Bernardi, Henning Solberg, Colin McRae and Jan Kopecky. In Individuals you can only choose the car not an actual driver. When you race you will see the names on the side of the car but you can't choose the drive and they don't appear in championship or rally mode.
Reality:
Gameplay is decent. The co driver will shout anything that comes to mind. Also you can have lovely landslides that smash the car, Locals that leave stuff on the road and logs that roll onto the track.
In championship and rally mode you also get to see the retirements. You might just be caning down the road and you see this official waving at you. You then pass the car on the side of the road, or in the middle of the road. You can see the driver and co driver out of the car, talking or fighting. I went passed Galli. He was fighting (no surprise there). You can also catch up to struggling cars on the stage. You have to try to pass them. In finland I jumped over Markko Martin. Now that is something you don't see very often.
There is also a nice tribute to Michael Park in the back of the manual.
OVERALL:
If you are a Playstation 2 user it is a must get game. I've heard that PSP isn't as good but the PS2 version is FULLY SICK.
I rate it:
9.5 out of 10
