Shame about my brakes! I would just like to say well done to Lita. She did well without me (Even though I helped with set up). Subaru will endeavor to get me some better brakes next time!
Big well done to Drew. In his first rally in the RFC, first rally on tarmac and snow he finished second. Great promise shown there.

Congratulations lita. Nice win.
Very disappointing start for us in Mitsubishi. The car just wasn't suited to this event at all making it very hard to drive. At least we both got to the finish to get some data for next time. Sweden should be better suited to the car, but it's a very specialised rally.

well were not too bothered about the crash as its a new car and have been away from driveing for a little while. we will have to have a good look at the car to make sure there arnt any really big dammages. but from now we are gonna get testing the brakes and suspention mainly. and take it on the track to make sure everything is running smoothly

**News**
Subaru Team boss praises Lita Team boss David Lapworth has praised Lita for a great drive in Monte Carlo. "Lita did everything, and more, of what we asked from her. I told her to just drive and get to the finish as it was her first time here. What a finish! She really took some of the veterans by suprise. Also we must apologise to Mitch for his brake problems. I believe he would have done well also. Our focus is now on doing well in Sweden."

FORD REVIEW OF MONTE CARLO- RJ
"It was a very tough rally I must say so I am more than happy to score a podium at Monte Carlo. It would have been nice to come second but Drew just nipped me by 0.01 seconds. I guess it just comes to show how close and even the competition is.
Both Ford drivers finished in the points and the team is coming second in the championship after one round so this will help our confidence in the future rounds to come."

Subaru are ready to fire on its new Pirelli tyres. The studs are moulded into the base of the tyre. With two Australian drivers Subaru will be looking to Mitch for his previous experience in Sweden. Mitch grew up (and lives) in the coldest state in Australia. Tasmania. He drove regularly on the Western Coast where in winter it snows. Mitch is ready for Sweden. Lita meanwhile is still celebrating her wins and still bags out Mitch for his brake problem.
"He probably rides the brakes." she chuckled at a testing day.

** Skoda (Capeta) - Sweden Preview **
"Testing went pretty good, no mechanical problems, but I can't really say anything before this rally because this is my first snow event. Overall the car feels good and is easy to handle. We'll see what happens when the rally starts."

Welcome to Bahnland with its snow covered forest stages! An amazing rally from start to finish. Rallying83 blew away the competition with 3 stage wins! Citroen are proving to be team consistency. Though not setting records their efforts have seen them take quite a good lead in the manuf. table early on. Also a good drive from Capeta sees him finish on the podium. Unfortunately for team Subaru, they were disqualified before the first stage even began. The turbo's installed on the Impreza's was found to not be legal by FIA standards. A few eyebrows were raised also were the hopes that this was just an honest mistake. I am sure we will get a quote from Subaru management later on in the week. Mitsubishi's first win! Skoda and Capeta made podium with 2nd place Subarus of Lita and Mitch going nowhere but home

**Subaru Press-Release** David Lapworth: I am so so sorry for Mitch and Lita. We thought we had a little bit of extra power but we thought it was the new tyres we had ordered. I am devastated and we will have to sort something out. Mitch: I think it is a joke. Really, twice in a row my car has been a dud. First the brkes and now this. What do I have to do to win? I can't show my true potential on the stages. I have only done 1 stage this year. To be quite serious, Subaru need to improve dramatically if they want me to stay. I need a car which will be strong but not break down and fast. I am really annoyed with the team.

** Skoda (Capeta) - Sweden Finish**
Skoda Motorsports are pleased with the strong 2nd place finish of Capeta and also in the manufacturers fight with Amylyn finishing in 8th place.
"Wow! My second event and 2nd place. I very happy, especially on this tricky event. But there is still a lot of work to do on the car because that Mitsubishi of Rallying83 was very fast. I really was trying to keep up with him. Next time I want to go one better for the win!

FORD REVIEW OF SWEDEN- RJ
"I can't say that snow events are my strong point, so coming in sixth isn't that bad actually. My weaknesses were certainly exposed in this round. However, better early in the season than later."

*** FCT Press Release ***
Firstly we congratulate Mitsubishi for their win, Skoda for their second and our very own Wayno for his third place and joint lead in the championship. To have both our drivers at the top of the standings, with joint first and fourth place respectively and a well earned lead in the manufacturer's title shows us that our work in the off season was well placed. To Tumbo we thank him very much for his work in providing the team w/ tyre selection for the event. We hope that we can continue in this vein provide a faster car for both drivers. The new gearbox proved to be helpful in Tumbo's overall results of the rally, we hope to fix the minor glitches in time for the arrival of Wayno's in the next few days.
On the SWRT problem, we will be making our position to the FIA clear as we feel that their defence is no stronger than that of TTE in the mid-90's. We urge the FIA to take financial sanctions against SWRT and that any further indiscretion sees a points docking.
Tumbo: I felt happy w/ the car. Wayno was just too good, I tried to match him throughout the event and came close, but lost out a second on each stage. With the new gearbos I felt more comfortable in the fast corners but it seemed to lose some speed at the high-end. FCT have provided us with solid machines and I am pleased to have helped give us an edge in the manufacturer's race.

SUBARU PRESS RELEASE.
Subaru principal David Lapworth.
"Tumbo has no place to be saying such things about our team. If Tumbo has a problem he can tell me first. Being a ex Subaru driver I thought he would show some compassion."
