**Subaru Press Release**
MITCH: I am so happy today. Throughout the whole rally nothing went wrong on the car (What a relief!). It is such a nice change to get to the end of a rally. Hopefully I can turn things around in the next couple of rallies. Congrats. also to Lita. She drove extremely well on her first gravel event of the year. Even though she finished last of the RFC cars she showed good times on the first two stages but her gearbox overcame her. She is definatley a girl to watch!

**FIA NEWS** First we would like to apologise for the mistake regarding points for Skoda driver Amylyn. The mistake has been fixed. We will do our best to see that it doesn't happen again. Rally Cyprus is in jeopardy as a recent visit by FIA officials have shown that the organisers have made NO effort to fix the roads as we had requested. The roads are currently in no condition to run a rally. The costs of replacement parts alone would see this rally ending up in the negative in regards to profit. Organisers have promised a change in the next couple of weeks. After that the FIA will re-evaulate the situation.

*** Press Announcement *** FCT have just completed a successful test of a new engine on the Xsara. THe current engine has been suffering from overheating at high revs during testing in the lead-up to Cyprus, Acropolis and Argentina. FCT hope that the new engine will deliver the required performance for their drivers to challenge for the win on these tough events. Using the extended period of break to the best of its ability FCT have spent 4 days in Argentina working on improving the performance of the car currently leading the manufacturer's standings. *** FCT Press Release *** FCT are pleased to announce that thanks to a new sponsership arrangement the FCT will be debuting a new livery for Tumbo's car for the upcoming rally of Portugal. With Total having a long and prosperous relationship with Citroen and sponsering the event they felt that they could afford to support one driver. Due to personal sponsership commitments Wayno was unable to take the opportunity but his team-mate is looking forward to driving the revamped car. Tumbo: "I love the car, now that the gremlins have been sorted we hope to finally give our fans the long overdue win. My aim is to stay on the road and ahead of my team-mate. The new livery is fantastic, I can't wait to show the fans just how good a job our guys in the workshop have done putting this together. As it will only be showing on this one appearance I recommend all fans get out there and support the championship."

****PRESS RELEASE****
Well, another round of the championship down and I'm not quite as happy as I was! I'm still thereabouts in the drivers championship and our team is still leading the constructors title, but we can certainly improve. Life has certainly been hectic at FCT lately as we test continuously in a bid to find the pace we are missing at the moment. The team have a lot of changes they want to make so the drivers have certainly been busy! A lot more work to be done yet, but I'm sure the results will come. I'm itching to stand on the top step of the podium again.

Skoda updateBeacause of the long break before the Rally of Portugal; both Skoda drivers Capeta and Amylyn has done 400 Kilometers of general testing with the Fabia on gravel. "It really was an intense testing for both the car and the drivers. Things went very well and I hope that we can maintain that championship lead." -Capeta It wasn't all work. Before the Rally of Portugal, Amnlyn went back home to the United State to go fishing with the family. Meanwhile, Capeta went home to Japan to participate in the local motorsport festival. Capeta showed off his skill with co-driver Nobu in the Fabia on the track. Also, Capeta did many donuts for the fans.

*** FCT Press Release *** More spy shots as Wayno took to the Australian outback for testing of new suspension components. Having successfully completed testing on the engine performance and suspension mounting in Argentina, FCT moved down under to look at new suspension springs. Times are said to be encouraging, and as can be seen from the photo the ride height has been improved for rough surfaces. Sources indicate that with the current Championship break and deadlocked FIA, PSA Citroen have pumped money into testing for FCT to improve the edge of the Xsara over the competition. PSA are said to be very disappointed in the performance of Tumbo and are expecting both drivers to step up in coming events after the costs associated with the latest round of testing

Sorry about the delay guys. What a great Portugese rally! Lita scores her 2nd win and has really helped Subaru in the Manuf. title chase. A 2nd place from Tumbo has helped Citroen take the lead with both drivers ahead of the pack. RJ and Vivski rolled on the same stage. It was a stage littered with high jumps and crests but proved to be deadly for the 2 drivers. Both had serious rolls but both drivers/co-drivers were ok. Lita with her 2nd win RJ's dramatic retirement Vivski trying to upstage RJ

Subaru press release DAVID LAPWORTH:
Well, what an outstanding result for Subaru and, on a personal level for Lita. The last few rallies have really shown us that no matter what the situation-be it bad or good, she put's her best foot forward and never gives up. It was refreshing to see her speed continually pick up, she always had good technique but the speed element was the real issue. I think today has proven that it's no longer a problem-she has earnt that spot on the podium the hard way-we are delighted with her improvement. The team has experienced some controversy over the past few months and there have been times when morale has been significantly down-it's been a real effort by everyone to put it behind us and move on. Both Lita and Mitch have been great ambassadors for Subaru and have really dug deep when the chips were down-I couldn't wish for two better drivers. Mitch put in a really encouraging performance this rally and it was obvious that he is getting more comfortable with the car and set-up each time out. He was right on the limit here and I see big things down the track for him with the attitude he has. We look forward to the next rally and would once again like to thank our fans-the support you give us is brilliant!
